(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 19, 2008 ) Dallas, TX - Federal Payments, a service of ACH Direct, announced the capability for government offices to “Payment Enable” their legacy software system to process financial transactions. This includes that ability to transact using the popular “Revenue-Neutral” methodology that is also available using the Federal Payments counter-top terminal solution. This methodology provides any government entity the ability to pass-on credit card processing costs to the consumer by way of a convenience fee.
Through the Payments Gateway PCI certified platform, transactions can be securely transmitted, settled and reported to and from the government entities legacy software system. Applications for this payment enabling function include mailed-in credit card payments, telephone based payments or web based payments. Additionally, face-to-face (POS) payments are also possible with the addition of s simple magnetic card reader to client computers.
“This integration methodology eliminates the need for multiple software applications being employed for the origination and posting of consumer payments” says Jeff Thorness, President of ACH Direct. “With our Payments Gateway integration capabilities, government offices can eliminate the need to use a third party vendor’s software for entry of financial data.”
Qualifying government entities include State, Federal, County and Municipal. Also qualifying are Universities and Colleges. For more information, visit www.federalpayments.com or call 866-764-2002.
