(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 15, 2011 ) LIBERTY LAKE, WA – Telect® President and CEO, Wayne Williams has announced today that he will accept an offer from Gravity Jack President and CEO, Luke Richey that will allow him to serve as chairman and board member for the augmented reality leader. By accepting the offer, the two companies advance a cooperative working relationship, developed by a history of collaborative business interaction.
In reaction to the announcement, CEO Richey stated, "Wayne has been a steady mentor to me since we first began working together in March of 2010. ItÂ’s exciting to see someone like him believe so heavily in what weÂ’re accomplishing."
Historically, Gravity Jack has supported Telect's influence within the telecommunications industry, most recently assisting in the development of software for power management, to be released by
Telect in 2012. Additionally, Telect owns the first printed and positioned copies of Quick Augmented Reality (QAR) codes, Gravity JackÂ’s patented new technology. The codes (that serve as markers for mobile devices, equipped with a camera), replace static content with interactive augmented reality in the form of 3D, video, or gaming content.
"Getting involved more deeply with Gravity Jack is exciting," Telect’s Williams said. "I had an opportunity to work with Luke first, when my son developed a social media application available on Apple’s™ iTunes® App Store™."
Williams’ son, Mitch Williams, happens to be Gravity Jack’s chief operating officer and according to him, the change coincides with precisely what the company is all about. "It has been an exciting time at Gravity Jack, going from four to 40 employees in two years, while being debt free and cash flow positive. We continue to provide innovative solutions to our customers and our augmented reality products are taking off like wildfire. Having Wayne on our board shows profound dedication to our model.”
