  • Video Genesis Pre-Launch Video 1 Covers 34 Mistakes Found in Videos

(I-SoftwareNews.Com, July 03, 2013 ) Salt Lake City, Utah -- Andy Jenkins and Mike Filsaime, the duo behind the most- talked about video marketing training resource, Video Genesis, released a pre-launch video of their product. This pre-launch video covers 34 mistakes most marketers make.

When Jenkins and Filsaime brainstormed about Video Genesis, they actually identified 101 common mistakes that marketers make, even the experienced ones! However, in their first pre-launch video, they consolidated it into 34 mistakes which fit into three categories. These categories are the geeky stuff (encoding, audio balance and aspect ratio), the visual stuff (bad camera framing, ugly design, etc.) and the message ( weak calls to action, pointless feature thumping, and the utter lack of benefits to the viewer).
The pre-launch video is basically a video within a video, which shows a bad video and then shows the mistakes that marketers can avoid. According to Jenkins, making a bad video is very easy and the purpose of the pre-launch video is to spot the mistakes in videos and explain how to fix it.
Basically the message of the pre-launch video is that you pay attention to what you can do for your videos. Filsaime and Jenkins specifically stressed that you don’t need fancy equipment to make a good video, you just need to tweak some stuff to make a bossy marketing video.
When it comes to making a good video, you just have to plan your shoot. Your video should help the viewers understand the benefits of the video. There are no secrets to making a good video, there are just certain procedures. The point to getting good video is simply knowing what those procedures are, like how much headroom you should have on your camera, consistent audio levels, and having the right exposure. But the real trick to having great video is having excellent message structure. It is important to use a cold open to hook viewers’ attention, building value through benefits, and a call to action. Jenkins stresses that you should SHOW don’t just TELL.
Video Genesis is a new video marketing guide created by Andy Jenkins and Mike Filsaime. The product starts selling on July 8, 2013. To know more about the product, an in-depth Video Genesis Review has been released by IMSoup. The pre-launched video was released on June 18 followed shortly by the second video on the 21st of June.
