  • Wix Hosts Free Webinars Designed to Teach Online Consumers How to Make a Website from Scratch

(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 21, 2010 ) New York, NY - Creating a website is now as easy as dragging and dropping, thanks to the new technology released by Wix.com. Users can build sites from scratch using their own photos, video and music files, text and more simply by signing up for an account at Wix, giving their free website a title and clicking Publish.

Wix Webinars are web-based seminars, showing users how to
make a website from start to finish through live interactive demonstrations. A member of the Wix Team will show how to build a website from scratch using the various widgets and free design design elements featured inside WixÂ’ intuitive web editor.

Avishai Avrahami, Founder & CEO of Wix.com, comments: “What makes Wix so beautiful is its smooth user-friendliness. The Webinars are taking it to the next level. We’re making it easy for any online user to fully embrace his or her inner web designer, with confidence.”

Each Webinar lasts around 45 minutes. The sessions are like live video tutorials that are presented through the userÂ’s Web-browser. Throughout a Webinar session, attendees can engage in live chats with Wix Support representatives, who then pass on the most common questions to the Webinar presenter. The presenter will then address these questions to the entire Webinar audience in a Question-Answer segment.

Everything from selecting and customizing a free website template, to publishing your site live on the web, is demonstrated in a Wix Webinar in real-time. Since all Wix websites are search engine friendly, there will be Wix Webinars focusing on maximizing oneÂ’s online presence with keyword optimization and other SEO methods.

All those interested in attending a future Wix Webinar are invited to sign up for the mailing list by entering in an e-mail address at the WixStation website. You will receive an e-mail invitation before the next Wix Webinar, with the date and times of the session and a registration link. The maximum audience per Webinar is 1,000 attendees, so early registration is recommended.

All Webinars are recorded and may be viewed in the Archive section of the WixStation. So if you donÂ’t have a chance to attend a live session, all the material is stored for you in one convenient location.

Avrahami says, “These Webinars offer a free glimpse at how easy it is to make a website for anyone with something to promote!”

Wix.com has company headquarters in New York, and offices in
Tel-Aviv. The company is backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Mangrove Capital Partners and Benchmark Capital. Wix was created in 2006. There are over 4 million users to date using the free website builder to create unique Flash websites.
