(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 07, 2011 ) San Diego, CA -- The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association for todayÂ’s technology services organizations, announced four new categories for its Fall 2011 STAR Awards program. The new small to midsize business (SMB) categories recognize the accomplishments of SMB organizations in the technology services industry.
The new categories are specifically geared toward organizations in the discipline areas of education services, field services, professional services, and support services, with total annual worldwide corporate revenues under $250 million. Applicants in these categories will show exemplary execution of service delivery in their respective discipline areas.
Since 1990, the STAR Awards have become one of the highest honors in the service and support industry, acknowledging the contribution of companies of all sizes to the continual improvement of service and support delivery industry-wide.
The complete Fall 2011 STAR Awards program is as follows (SMB categories listed as “Small Company Excellence”):
For Education Services Members of TSIA:
• STAR Award for Small Company Excellence in Education Services
• STAR Award for Overall Operational Excellence in Education Services
For Field Services Members of TSIA:
• STAR Award for Small Company Excellence in Field Services Delivery
• STAR Award for Overall Excellence in Field Services Delivery
• STAR Award for Excellence in Remote Diagnostics for Hardware Service
For Professional Services Members of TSIA:
• STAR Award for Small Company Excellence in Professional Services
• STAR Award for Overall Operational Excellence in Technology Professional Services
For Support Services Members of TSIA:
• STAR Award for Small Company Excellence in Support Services
• STAR Award for Excellence in Complex Application Support
• STAR Award for Excellence in Continual Improvement
• STAR Award for Excellence in Innovative Support
• STAR Award for Excellence in Mission Critical Support - Hardware
• STAR Award for Excellence in Mission Critical Support - Software
• STAR Award for Excellence in Partner Management
• STAR Award for Excellence in Remote Diagnostics for Hardware Service
“We are pleased to offer these new awards categories to recognize the accomplishments of SMB organizations in the areas of education, field, professional, and support services,” said Diane Brundage, senior vice president of membership development for TSIA. “These new awards will allow companies of relatively the same size to showcase their achievements in services excellence. Nominations may be submitted now through June 20. Winners will be announced at Technology Services World 2011 Las Vegas, taking place October 24-26.
